Want
to see the Raptor F85 in action? 0 to 60mph in 3.36 seconds!!

My
current challenge is to build a very special V8 powered Dax Rush, a
totally unique creation which I have named the RAPTOR F85.
I have some concrete plans for the leviathan. I use this word for a
reason: the drivetrain
and
(especially)
the
powerplant are going to be
sensational. In previous projects I have
rebuilt my own engines from the big ends up, but with this one
I have a
different approach. After
much research and discussion, I have teamed up with one of the
(if not the) most experienced engine specialists
in the field.
The
end result will provide some entertaining road manners combined
with a totally
unique visual impact!
All
this adds up to a very exciting build, well, for me anyway and I hope
you will agree once the series unfolds. The first
instalment can be found in the May 2008 issue of
Kit Car magazine and I’ll update you on
a monthly basis both in the magazine and here on my website as regards
progress.
Since this is still strictly my hobby, coverage is down to earth and
utilises the tools you will find in any DIY garage. You will see
new hyperlinks
appear on the left of this page to coincide with
the
magazine
issues
hitting
the
shelves.
Read
the
mag
first
and then come here for a more detailed look on how she is taking
shape.
Thrown
in for good measure will be loads of tips, techniques and
contact details
for
all those
who
have
supplied
components
for
the
Rush, plus
a few others besides.
